8 MWSC athletes traveled to Park City last weekend to compete in the first qualifier to U14 regionals. Cold temps and "hero" snow conditions made athletes feel right at home.
The weekend was headlined by Anna Tate's Top 10 SL finish, the first for MWSC in four years. Athletes competed on the former World Cup venue of CB's in the GS, a challenging hill according to some of the greatest alpine athletes in skiing history. The positive outcome were not concluded with Tate's finish, as Gabe Lamey and Cassidy Lamm found the Top 20 as well. These results will help these student-athletes in the rankings for qualifying for Western Regionals in Alpine Meadows, CA in March.
The U14 age class will be traveling next to Jackson, WY for a SG Series as well as an IMD SG project.
