A race training program for athletes ages 8 – 11 who want to compete in Intermountain Division Races.
U10-12 Alpine Race Team
Our U10-12 Alpine Race Team is designed for athletes ages 9 to 11 (8 with coach’s recommendation) who are interested in focusing on Alpine Ski Racing. Athletes need to be strong intermediate skiers with previous experience in our Mighty Mite or YSL programs. This program’s primary focus is to create a training atmosphere that is fun and challenging. Athletes will develop race techniques by skiing more difficult terrain and conditions and will work on drills in and out of gates.
Races: Athletes will have the opportunity to compete in USSA Intermountain Division Races held at Brundage Mountain Resort and other ski areas in the Intermountain West (Bogus Basin, Jackson Hole, Sun Valley). Coaches will help determine appropriate events to attend based on an individual athletes progression.
Dryland: U12 Racers (athletes 10 and up) are encouraged to participate in dryland training but it is not required. Dryland starts in October and goes until athletes are on snow. Dryland is included in the program fees for U12 athletes but not U10's.
Camps: Holiday Camp is included in the program fee. U12’s are eligible for Summer and Thanksgiving Camps with a coaches recommendation.
