Cranston Cup - Saturday February 24th - Sunday February 25th
Next weekend (February 24th and 25th) in McCall, coinciding with the last days of the Olympics, the Intermountain Division (IMD) of the US Ski & Snowboard Association will be holding the last of its regional qualifying events at Brundage Mountain in McCall.
This event, called the Cranston Cup, will bring together local athletes ages 8-11 – a total of about 150 athletes, separated into two age groups – from McCall, Tamarack, Bogus Basin, Sun Valley, and Jackson Hole for a day of Giant Slalom (2/24) and Slalom (2/25). Those who earn enough qualifying points will be invited to represent the North in the prestigious IMD Championships, against qualifiers of the South – which include skiers from Park City, Salt Lake, and more.
