Who We Are
The McCall Winter Sports Club (MWSC) has been teaching young skiers how to develop into strong individuals with character since 1947. Our athletes are taught that skiing isn’t all about winning or losing; it is your character that counts the most!
What We Do
MWSC offers Alpine, Big Mountain Freeride, All Mountain Development and Park Programs. We are located in Valley County, Idaho and train at Brundage Mountain and The Little Ski Hill. Our athletes range from the ages of 6 to 17, novice to elite. We coached over 150 kids this past year alone!
Why We Do It
We believe McCall is a great town for kids to grow up in through winter sports. It has a tremendous history in winter sports, and has long been known as “Ski Town USA”. There have been six Olympians that have come from the McCall community.
While we strive to create lifelong skiers, our greater goal is “Creating World Class Kids Through Winter Sports”. We know winter sports are a great vehicle to creating world class kids, because kids who play sports have been shown to:
The McCall Winter Sports Club is dedicated to providing a personalized snow sports experience for each athlete. We offer a supportive environment, where our kids will build character, develop confidence on and off the snow and can challenge themselves to reach their highest potential.

Our Coaching Philosophy:
Our coaching philosophy is to facilitate each athletes’ development to her/his full potential by offering an appropriate blend of guided free-skiing, skill enhancement, technical improvement, and race course tactics in an atmosphere of fun and encouragement. Our goal is to mold outstanding citizens and versatile skiers first, recognizing that with further nurturing, many will become outstanding racers. Implementation of this philosophy varies with age and ability; younger athletes will spend more time on fun and ski development, whereas older athletes will increasingly focus on mental/physical preparation and course tactics
