Volunteers have always been an important part of our club's success. We ask that each family make a seasonal commitment of at least 20 hours per athlete. Here's a few ways you can help!
Home Race Committee: This committee would assist the Alpine Director to make sure all aspects of our home races were planned in a timely complete manner. Assistance they could provide would include:
• Meeting with Brundage or LSH to discuss venue logistics
• Working with the AD to insure race announcement information is available and shared with MWSC families as well as teams likely to travel to our event in a timely way.
• Volunteer coordination for all race volunteers
• Fun elements (announcers, music, goody bags, etc..)
• Ordering or crafting awards
• Organizing on snow set up for MWSC families (tents, BBQ’s, etc…)
Team Manager: Would work with the AD and ED to insure timely, relevant updates for individual team websites as well as other communications regarding travel logistics, schedule updates, team dinners, etc. that go out through SI Play for each age class.
ARC Committee: Setting up a regular cleaning and snow removal schedule, purchasing supplies, addressing maintenance issues as they arise.
Fundraising: Individuals can designate which projects they want to work on and only sit on that committee; ie: Online Auction.
Parent Advisory Group: This group would meet with the AD and ED prior to and throughout the season to give input on program development. (ie: program tiers and pricing, training schedules, coaching priorities, etc…)
The motivation and focus for all of this is to help when operational band-width is maxed out and to insure parents feel involved and that they have the inside scoop on what is happening. Seasonal ASK is 20 hours per athlete.
If there are other ways you feel we can best apply your strengths and connections to helping out the team, please reach out to Chris Costa at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Alpine Race Center (ARC) is an amazing amenity we have for the club at Brundage Mountain. This is our home base on training, race and camp days at Brundage. It's where we boot up, have team meetings, eat lunch together, tune our skis, warm up with hot cocoa, and reconvene at the end of the day. It takes a bit of effort to upkeep the building and supplied with necessities. If you can help with any of the following, please reach out to Chris Costa at email@example.com.
